Newdegate Brenton See

Brenton See The Artist
Perth artist Brenton See trained first as a graphic designer, then spent eight months learning to be a tattooist. Neither career path suited him so well as his own art practice. Thankfully for all of us, his talent is not confined to small areas of skin and the computer screen, but is given full range in works from small canvases to large scale interior and exterior murals. His work is characterised by the use of bright colours, geometric forms, and elegant, refined animals.
He has also painted some of the murals in Katanning, featuring important local species the Red-tailed phascogale (Phascogale calura), Southwestern snake-necked turtle (Chelodina (Macrodiremys) colliei), and the Hooded plover (Thinornis cucullatus).
